Shirlea Blue

Since joining Case Western Reserve University in September 2023, Shirlea has played a pivotal role within the CWRU Office of Research and Technology Management.  She evaluates, coordinates and negotiates agreements related to the transfer of human subjects’ data and materials. Prior to this position, Shirlea obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Kent State University. Her academic background has equipped her with a strong foundation in the ethical and legal aspects of health research. At CWRU, Shirlea plays a vital role in ensuring the responsible use of human subjects’ data. She works closely with researchers, legal counsel and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and institutional policies. Her expertise in this field helps protect the rights of participants and the integrity of research conducted at CWRU.
