Tami McCourt currently serves in a high-level leadership role for the Case Western Reserve University Institutional Animal Care and Use Program. This program provides technical and educational support to research faculty and staff, facilitating their research goals while maintaining the university's compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Since joining CWRU in 1987, Tami has eagerly worked to help researchers learn, understand, and navigate federal regulations, with the goal of improving research outcomes and advancing animal welfare. She has been involved as a team member for both the Animal Resource Center (ARC) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). Tami now has the distinct honor of leading the IACUC Administrative Office, as well as supporting the CWRU Institutional Official.
Tami holds an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Veterinary Technology and maintains a current license with The Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board. She also holds a Bachelor of Technology and Applied Studies (BTAS), as well as a communications minor from Ohio University. She is a Certified Manager of Animal Resources (CMAR) and a Certified Professional IACUC Administrator (CPIA).
