The Animal Resource Center at Case Western Reserve University is sharing its projected per diem budgetary rates for fiscal years 2027-2029.
Effective immediately, CWRU researchers and department administrators should use these rates as the basis for all future proposals.
In light of federal funding changes and following extensive internal reviews and discussions, the rate change represents incremental increases over three years. These rate changes reflect the true cost of care and have been compared with rates nationally to ensure the increases are commensurate with other similar programs.
By releasing these preliminary rates, ARC and the Office of Research and Technology Management (ORTM) aim to help principal investigators (PIs) appropriately plan for increases in funding proposals to sponsors. Researchers can expect to see the finalized budgetary rates published each May.
For any questions or concerns, please contact Interim ARC Director Dr. A. Marissa Wolfe at axw707@case.edu.
