Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has appointed Frank Tedeschi, PhD (GRS ‘18, biochemistry; MGT ‘25), as director of core services, where he will oversee the operations, strategy, and growth of shared research resources across the institution.
Tedeschi brings a strong background in both research and administration. He earned his PhD in biochemistry in the lab of Eckhard Jankowsky, PhD, where he developed expertise in transcriptomics, lab management, and research infrastructure. He previously established and led the Advanced RNA Profiling Core, supporting investigators with transcriptomic techniques such as CLIP-seq, ribosome profiling, and downstream next-generation sequencing workflows.
In his new role, Tedeschi will focus on strengthening the accessibility and visibility of CWRU cores, advancing technologies and services, and aligning core capabilities with the evolving needs of researchers. His efforts will emphasize operational efficiency, data integration, and strategic expansion into emerging areas.
Tedeschi aims to advance faculty research across departments and institutions while ensuring that CWRU’s core facilities remain cutting-edge, responsive, and impactful.
