Erin Sigmund joined the Mandel School in May 2024 as the Director of Online Education. Erin brings a wealth of experience in online education and program management to her role. Prior to joining the Mandel School, Erin excelled in various key positions, demonstrating her expertise in online program management, academic advising, program development, and student and faculty support. 

Before joining the Mandel School, Erin served as the Associate Director for Online MBA Programs at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, where she was responsible for creating and implementing Online MBA program best practices including standard operating procedures and annual project management strategies. In addition, Erin led the online and part-time MBA academic advising team, prioritizing inclusive excellence throughout her initiatives to support student success and retention. She collaborated closely with the MBA Admissions team and the Alumni Relations Office on inclusive admissions and engagement strategies, while also overseeing the onboarding process for first-year Online MBA students. Erin played a key role in the development and maintenance of academic resources and new faculty onboarding, while working closely with faculty on curriculum changes and course scheduling. 

Before her role at Carnegie Mellon University, Erin held various positions including Transfer & Graduate Admissions Counselor, Coordinator for Online Learning, Graduate Academic Advisor, and Associate Director for Graduate Studies & Adult Education. Erin's career trajectory showcases her commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive, and high-quality learning experiences for students across diverse educational settings.

Erin holds a Master of Education in Technology for Online Learning from Slippery Rock University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from La Roche University.
