Julianne M. Foster joined the Mandel School as a field faculty advisor in August 2022. She has been involved with field education since 2014, serving as a field instructor to numerous MSW students and contributing to the revamping of the social work internship program at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Prior to her position at Case Western Reserve, she provided clinical services to people struggling with substance use and mental health disorders, families involved with Child Protective Services, and pediatric and adult patients with chronic or terminal medical conditions.

Throughout her career, Foster has contributed to developing organizational and client-focused programs, presented research findings at local and national conferences, and created or supported research projects on substance use disorders, women with high-risk pregnancies and improving clinical care in hospital settings.
