Kristen Boyer is the Executive Director of Research Operations at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Prior to taking on the role in January 2025, Kristen spent several years as the Administrative Manager at the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, leaving the Mandel School for Applied Social Sciences in mid-2022. Over the last several years she has also worked as a Research Program Manager at University Hospitals overseeing the business and research operations for multiple Centers within the Eye Institute and as a Director of Finance and Administrative Operations at the CWRU School of Medicine.
Kristen started her career in research at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation where she worked as a research assistant and coordinator in the Medicine Institute. She holds a BA in Communication from Miami University (OH) and an MEd in Community Health from Cleveland State University.
Kristen has many years experience in research administration which includes working in both pre- and post-award capacities on a myriad of projects spanning various federal, state, healthcare, higher education, nonprofit, and community agencies.
