Event Description
In the early summer of 2020, the Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research convened an Interprofessional Dialogues Committee, the goal of which is to create ways to build community among faculty, staff and students within the HEC, across CWRU and throughout the neighborhoods adjacent to campus.
One of the ways they hope to accomplish this goal is through monthly dialogue sessions. For Academic Year 2022–23, they will offer a variety of topics of interest to the campus community. The dialogue sessions will follow this format:
- A guest speaker offers a brief, 15-20 minute presentation on a particular topic
- After the presentation, we review our group norms for small group dialogue
- Participants break into smaller groups to discuss a few questions about the topic
- After about 30 minutes, we reconvene as a larger group to debrief the small group discussions and discuss next steps
Join Jennifer King, co-director of the Center on Trauma and Adversity and assistant professor, for the October dialogue.
