Event Description
As this Cleveland-based film marks its fifth anniversary, join colleagues and fellow students to learn how toxic, racialized stress drives infant mortality, and how you can unpack your own bias and racism within your institutions to better care for babies and families.
Together with colleagues from the Schubert Center, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and Mandel School, First Year Cleveland (FYC) will screen the film Toxic (30 min), then invite guests to a buffet lunch. At tables over lunch, table hosts will guide a discussion of the film and how the lived experiences of the family portrayed can impact our obligation to racially just, safe and accountable care.
Open to students, staff, faculty and the entire CWRU community.
