Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, has announced the appointment of Lee Fisher, JD (LAW ’76, MNO ’05), as its 10th president, beginning July 1.
Fisher was the Ohio attorney general from 1991 to 1995, and lieutenant governor from 2007 to 2011. He most recently served as dean of Cleveland State University College of Law for nine years, during which time enrollment increased by 96% and the college recovered from a large deficit, according to a Baldwin Wallace press release.
“The future of Ohio, and the future of Northeast Ohio in particular, depends in large part on the success of the colleges and universities,” Fisher said in a cleveland.com article.
Fisher’s time at Case Western Reserve University spanned three professional schools across more than three decades. In between earning his Juris Doctor from the School of Law in 1976, and a Master of Nonprofit Organization from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences in 2005, Fisher also completed the Professional Fellowship Program at Weatherhead School of Management in 1996.
