Megan R. Holmes, co-director of the Center on Trauma and Adversity and associate professor, will be the pre-conference plenary keynote speaker at the NASW New Jersey Annual Conference on Sunday, April 30, from 10 to 12 p.m.
The organization invited Holmes to speak in part about the work that the Trauma Center has done at the Mandel School in forming the Graduate Certificate in Trauma-Informed Practice and specialized training program, but also about the applied trauma-informed care work she has done with the City of Cleveland's Recreation Centers.
This is the nation's largest NASW conference, drawing 3,000+ people prior to COVID. The conference will be held April 30 through May 2 this year. An announcement of Holmes' session can be found on page 6 of the conference brochure.
