Meechie Poston, a PhD student in social welfare, will present their poster at the 41st annual National Organization of Forensic Social Work (NOFSW) annual conference this spring.
Poston will give a poster presentation on a literature review of the available research regarding housing modality and sexual victimization of transgender and gender nonconforming incarcerated adults (TGNC IAs), examining the sociodemographic characteristics associated with higher rates of victimization and strategies to prevent sexual violence.
The NOFSW is an organization dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of forensic social work knowledge and practice. The theme for this year’s conference, held in New Orleans May 28–30, is “Connecting People, Transforming Justice.”
