Before beginning at Case Western Reserve University, what were you doing?

I was working as a group clinician at a mental health day treatment center for school-aged youth.

Why did you choose CWRU/the Mandel School?

Honestly, the schedule was convenient with my work/life balance.

Why did you choose this area of study for an advanced degree?

I enjoy working with youth and families in a mental health setting.

Where did you do your field placement?

My previous employer accepted me as an intern.

Describe your field education practicum experience and any work/projects you have done.

I provided telehealth counseling services for youth and adults and conducted mental health assessments. I also helped updated the training materials for our staff.

Describe any other job, internship, volunteer, research or study abroad experiences you had during your time at CWRU.

I worked as a school social worker at a middle school in Groveport, Ohio during my time at CWRU.

What is your favorite memory of CWRU?

Having my newborn son see my classmates for the first time on Zoom!

What do you hope to do with your degree?

Continue working with youth and families as well as perfecting my skills as an effective social worker.

What are your plans for after graduation?

Taking a break to spend time with my son for summer break!

What are you most looking forward to after graduation?

Having "MSW" behind my name!

What is the one thing you’d like to share with our incoming students?

It will feel like it takes forever but you will be done before you know it!
