ADHD/LD Assessment

University Health & Counseling Services (UHCS) recognizes that some students experience academic or other struggles that may suggest a diagnosis of a Learning Disorder (LD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Diagnosing Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disorders (LD), and other Cognitive Concerns requires specialized assessments that are not available at UHCS. Below is a list of providers in the greater Cleveland area who perform these assessments.

Please know that the wait-time for an assessment can be long, particularly at certain times of the year. Assessments occur over several sessions (initial interview, objective testing, feedback, etc.) and there is often additional time to receive your full written documentation.

In addition, these assessments are often not fully covered by insurance, and there may be out-of-pocket expenses. Please inquire with the individual providers regarding insurance coverage and cost. Assistance with some of the cost may be available through the Student Mental Health Fund.
