The Case Comprehensive Cancer Center extends congratulations to Halle Moore, MD, as earlier this week she was named director of breast medical oncology and co-director for the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Moore joined Cleveland Clinic in 1999 and will assume her new role in January 2020. Her research involves the investigation of new treatments for breast cancer as well as the study of long-term effects of cancer treatment, including effects on fertility, bone health and cognitive function. Five-year follow up results of a practice-changing study led by Dr. Moore were published last year, demonstrating a method for protecting ovarian function during chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer in young women.
