First funded in 2011, and renewed in 2017, the Case GI SPORE is an $11.3 million research grant awarded to the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center (Case CCC) to establish a Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) in GI Cancers. The Case CCC joins only four other National Cancer Institute-nationally recognized SPORE centers of excellence in GI Cancers.  Researchers from Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center and Cleveland Clinic, all members of the cancer center, collaborate in the research effort.
