Since joining Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in June 2016, Carey Fornal, MNO, has provided a comprehensive approach to supporting faculty and staff in grant administration. Her role is in the Office of Pre-Award Services and Agreements (PASA) as a senior grant and contracts manager. She is responsible for the review and oversight of grant portfolios for departments within the School of Medicine from submission of proposals, award set up, and to overall grant administration.
Prior to joining the PASA, Carey worked as the assistant director of funded projects in the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. She managed the financial and administrative functions of faculty with primary appointments in the cancer center, along with training grants, fellowship grants and small clinical trial projects. Carey also worked in the CWRU Office of Grants and Contracts managing federal and non-federal grant portfolios for departments in the School of Medicine.
