Jacob Hill is a Faculty Research Investigator in the Center for Research and Training in the Department of Wellness and Preventive Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. His professional career as a clinician researcher has focused on integrative oncology supportive care, mindfulness-based interventions (MBI), health services and behavioral health research, end-of-life and palliative care, and global health. Hill is a board-certified Naturopathic Physician who specializes in adapting, developing, and implementing evidence-based integrative oncology modalities for cancer patients and survivors. Integrative oncology is rooted in lifestyle medicine approaches, including mind/body therapies, nutritional support, sleep and exercise management, stress reduction, and dietary supplements. He has developed a unique expertise in bridging the gap between integrative and conventional oncology care, and modeling and implementing the highest standards of safety and evidence-based practice to maximize benefit and reduce risk to patients. Integrative oncology has enormous potential to provide supportive care to cancer patients and survivors, but more work is needed to develop the evidence for safe and effective integrative therapies.
