Miller is a radiation oncologist subspecializing in the treatment of head/neck neoplasms within Cleveland Clinic's Taussig Cancer Institute. As a translational research scientist, he also has a dual appointment within the Center for Immunotherapy and Precision Immuno-Oncology, wherein he conducts laboratory-based research studying virally-associated neoplasms of the oropharynx, nasopharynx, and anal canal. As a native of Ohio and alumnus of both Case Western Reserve University and the Lerner College of Medicine, Miller is passionate about the prevention and treatment of these cancers in his community.
His research is focused on early detection, biomarker-adapted therapy, and immunotherapy resistance for these cancers using a molecular biology approach. He also has extensive experience in bioinformatics and epidemiologic microsimulations of tumor progression to aid the design of cancer screening programs. Miller's long-term goal is to conduct federally-funded translational cancer research and clinical trials that incorporate cost-effective diagnostics for these malignancies.
