The primary interest of Basu's lab is to understand how environmental signal integrates transcriptional regulatory networks (TRNs) to govern immune cell development and functional specialization under homeostasis, inflammation, and cancer. The lab uses genetically engineered mouse models, functional genetics/genomics, and single cell technologies in the context of inflammation and cancer models to answer these fundamental questions. Currently, her lab is focused on discovering novel immune oncogenic nexus that drives myeloid neoplasia and glioblastoma.
