Jennifer Ko, MD, PhD

Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology, School of Medicine
Member, Developmental Therapeutics Program, Case Comprehensive Cancer Center
Co-Director, Tissue Resources Shared Resource, Case Comprehensive Cancer Center

I am a pathologist, boarded in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Dermatopathology. I completed a 6-year BS/MD program at NEOMED, then did a year of Internal Medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic, then earned a PhD through Case Western Reserve University in Immunology with a focus on myeloid cells in tumor immunology, while working as a Clinical Scholar at the Taussig Cancer Center in melanoma. I am a staff in dermatopathology at Cleveland Clinic and Medical Director of the Central Biorepository. My clinical passion is solving difficult cases and contributing to academic research, especially in melanoma, merkel cell carcinoma, and other malignancies. My goal is to advance research throughout the Cleveland Clinic and with other collaborators via my new role in the biorepository, and to continue my translational research related to myeloid suppressor cells in cancer.
