As Director of the Children’s Cancer Innovative Therapy program at the Cleveland Clinic,  my mission is to develop and implement clinical trials that test promising new therapies and strategies to treat pediatric patients suffering from cancer. My training and research focus primarily on pediatric sarcomas for which cure rates have plateaued over the past thirty years. Different approaches to treating these tumors are needed. We are developing studies to overcome resistance to chemotherapy and immunotherapy and target the tumor microenvironment, cancer metabolism and combinations of these to overcome the limitations of current therapy.
