Rao currently serves as the Medical Director of Integrative Oncology at University Hospitals. In this role, he is engaged in innovative clinical designs for symptom palliation, delivery of care, and outreach. His research endeavors include reviews of integrative modalities and care through symptom management clinic, inpatient care, as well as lifestyle and mind/body approaches. Additionally, his medical oncology specializations include genitourinary cancers, thus he is also engaged in research for genitourinary malignancies, including novel therapeutic approaches as well as diagnostic innovations. Rao is enrolled in a Collaborative Research Leadership Course (the ATLAS program) at the CWRU Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC), focusing on a project to improve community-based research.
