Research Interests

Dr. Wang studies the mechanism of environmental mixture exposure carcinogenesis, identifying molecular markers/targets for early diagnosis and prevention of environmental exposure-caused lung cancer. The Wang laboratory currently has three research areas in environmental carcinogenesis: (1) Investigating molecular mechanism of environmental mixture exposure carcinogenesis; (2) Investigating epigenetic regulation of environmental carcinogen genotoxicity; (3) Identifying natural and synthetic compounds to develop mechanism-based strategies to prevent environmental carcinogenesis. In addition, we are also working on anti-cancer drug discovery and developing new cancer therapies that target critical signaling pathways regulating cancer stemness.
