Faculty & Staff: COVID-19 Booster Shots & You

To Our Faculty and Staff:

We write today to urge you to get a COVID-19 booster before winter break begins.

With case counts climbing precipitously across the U.S., it is critical that you increase your own protection as well.

We appreciate that the end of the year is an especially hectic time, but very much hope that you take a few moments to schedule an appointment before winter break.

As those who have gotten their booster shots know, the dose not only reduces your own risk, but also the likelihood of infecting loved ones.

You are eligible to receive a booster six months after your second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, and two months after the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Because we consider getting a booster so important, we have added evening hours and a fourth vaccine location on campus. See the full calendar online. To schedule your appointment, go to myhealthconnect.case.edu.

While we are not yet mandating booster doses, other colleges and universities have started to do so. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 developments closely, and adapt as necessary to keep our campus community safe.

For now, please consider that getting a booster shot at Case Western Reserve is significantly easier than in many locations around the region. Take advantage of this convenience while you’re still on campus.
