Middle Eastern North African Dental Student Association

April 29, 2021

Creating an organization to serve as a home and community to celebrate Middle Eastern and North African culture had been a priority for the School of Dental Medicine for some time. The opportunity became even more apparent in the summer of 2020 with the creation of the Cultural Roundtable. 


SODM Department Spotlight: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

In addition to specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries and defects of the head, mouth, teeth, gums, jaws and neck, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department is the only five-year program of its kind across the country—which has been in existence for over 30 years. 


SODM Class of 2021 Commencement Speaker Announced

April 22, 2021

We are pleased to announce Pamela Alston, president of the National Dental Association (NDA), as this year’s School of Dental Medicine Class of 2021 commencement speaker. Based in California, Alston will provide virtual remarks during the in-person ceremony for the graduating students on May 28 at 9 a.m. The event will also be livestreamed to family and friends.

Hispanic Student Dental Association

Embracing all forms of Hispanic and Latin culture and cultivating an inclusive, accepting community is at the heart of the Case Western Reserve University Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA) mission. Through events, education, community outreach and social gatherings, the organization is enhancing representation and increasing awareness. 


SODM Department Spotlight: Endodontics

The Department of Endodontics in the School of Dental Medicine focuses on the cause, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of disease of the dental pulp and the tissues surrounding the root of a tooth. Just as notably, the program also specializes in preparing the next generation of high-quality endodontists to become board certified.
