Case Western Reserve University School of Law is pleased to host the 19th Annual International Conference on Contracts (KCON XIX) Friday, March 19, through Saturday, March 20, 2027. KCON is the largest annual international academic conference dedicated to contract law and related areas of commercial law. It brings together contract law scholars, expert practitioners, and aspiring academics from around the world.
This year, the Annual International Conference on Contracts (KCon) will honor three distinguished scholars in Contract Law. Professor Lisa Bernstein, selected by the 19th KCon steering committee, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the field. Professor Robert E. Scott, chosen by the 18th KCon committee, will also receive the Lifetime Achievement Award this year, having been unable to attend last year's conference. This award recognizes a scholar whose work has profoundly influenced contract and commercial law scholarship and who has shown sustained intellectual leadership. Finally, Professor William C. Whitford will receive the Lifetime Service Award for advancing the law-in-action perspective on contract.
Call for Proposals for Presentations KCON strives to be an open community for supporting and enriching scholarship. It welcomes presentations on projects at every level of development, including recently published articles, drafts, works-in-progress, preliminary ideas, and thought experiments. It provides an unparalleled opportunity to engage with colleagues and potential collaborators and mentors in the field. Junior scholars are especially encouraged to participate.
