Our law firm giving challenge offers an opportunity for alumni at firms to promote giving each year. Our goal is ambitious and simple: to encourage 100% of our alumni to support our annual fund to benefit student scholarships. By participating, alumni help us raise essential funds and increase overall alumni giving participation, while strengthening our alumni network and enhancing the profile of the law firms that employ our graduates.
How does the challenge work?
All firms with our alumni are welcome to participate. When alumni from participating firms make a gift of any amount to our annual fund, it will count towards the firm’s participation ranking. We work with alumni representatives at participating firms to encourage giving and engage with alumni throughout the year. If your firm isn’t currently participating and you would like to get involved, contact Alumni Relations & Development at the law school.
Participating firms receive acknowledgement for their contributions, with special honors given to firms that achieve 100% participation or donate the highest dollar amount. Firm recognition includes:
- Honor roll recognition displayed in the Upper Rotunda of the law school
- Placement on our website
- Published in In Brief, our annual alumni magazine
- Recognition at our annual Alumni & Faculty Dinner during reunion weekend
All of the dollars raised through the annual fund go to scholarships, direct student support, or other alumni-designated programs. This provides an immediate impact and allows us to continue our commitment to supporting students financially while providing a top notch legal education.
How do I make a gift?
Gifts may be made online at as single or multi-payment gifts. You may also contact the law school for a pledge form or make a credit card gift over the phone.
