Certificate in Compliance and Risk Management
The Certificate in Compliance and Risk Management is designed for working professionals interested in jobs in the field of regulatory compliance and risk management.
Students earning this certificate will take three foundational courses:
- Risk Assessment (4)
- Governance, Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management (3)
- Compliance & Risk Management Skills: Planning, Auditing, Investigating and Reporting (3)
In addition, students will take several elective courses in their area of interest with the option to specialize in:
- Business Finance,
- Cybersecurity and Data Protection,
- Healthcare,
- Intellectual Property and Policy, or
- Environmental Regulation.
This general certificate requires 15 hours of course credits. The certificates can only be completed on a part-time basis over three to four lightly-scheduled semesters (fall, spring, summer /or summer, fall, spring, summer).

Admissions Requirements
Students applying for a certificate should have a bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated interest in studying regulatory compliance and risk management.
Part-time options are available for both certificates. The programs do not require either the GRE or the LSAT and significant scholarships are available while this program is starting up.
In exceptional circumstances, individuals without a bachelor’s degree but with extensive professional experience in the regulatory compliance and risk management fields may be admitted to the program.
