Elective Courses
In addition to the required courses above, students completing an LLM in U.S. & Global Legal Studies must complete 16 credits (for a total of 24). Students can choose almost any of the JD and LLM classes offered.
LLM Certificates
Optional Curriculum for LLM in U.S. & Global Legal Studies
To complete a concentration, students must take at least 10 credit hours in classes approved by the Office of Global Legal Studies. Students can pursue a concentration in any topic. To qualify for a concentration with Honors, students must receive a grade of H in all of the approved courses. A maximum of two concentrations are allowed.
For example, students can complete a concentration in subjects such as:
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Criminal Law
- Health Law
- Intellectual Property Law
- International Business Law
- International Criminal Law
- Public International Law
