Application and Process
Applicants to the LLM degree program can use the online or PDF applications. Candidates can submit applications as early as September; decisions are made on a rolling basis.
Deadlines
Admission is available for both fall and spring semesters. The deadline for the fall semester is April 1; the deadline for the spring semester is October 15. Sometimes students can apply after the deadline; email the Office of Global Legal Studies to inquire, at llm-sjd@case.edu.
Required Documents
- Completed application form (either the LSAC application or the PDF application) and personal statement.
- Copies of transcripts from all post-secondary educational institutions attended, with translations into English where applicable.
- Copies of official TOEFL score or an IELTS record report is required for all students whose native language is not English—except those with a degree from an institution where English is the language of instruction. Or official copies of ELS 111 or 112 transcripts.
- Two letters of recommendation.
LSAC Online Application
Complete the online application through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and register for the LSAC Document Assembly Service ($85), and law school report ($30/school). Mail to LSAC: Official transcripts, official TOEFL or IELTS score reports, and two letters of recommendation.
PDF Application
Email the PDF application and the required documents to llm-sjd@case.edu. There is no application fee.
Application Review
Applications are reviewed in order of their receipt and completion. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to apply early.
