Robin Trail serves as executive director of the Office of Sponsored Projects Accounting. On Dec. 1, 1983, Robin embarked on her professional journey with Case Western Reserve University, starting in the Controller's Office as an accounting clerk. Little did she know that this would mark the beginning of a remarkable 40-year tenure filled with growth, achievements, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
In 1987 Robin transitioned to grants accounting, housed at that time within the Controller's Office, demonstrating her adaptability and eye for detail. Within a year, Robin assumed the role of grants manager, showcasing leadership skills and a strong grasp of financial management. By 1992, she rose to the position of manager, contributing significantly to the department’s success.
Robin and her department moved to the Office of Research Administration (ORA). By 1998, Robin had risen to the role of assistant director, demonstrating strategic vision and a commitment to driving positive change.
In 2007 she assumed the position of associate director in Sponsored Projects Accounting, playing a pivotal role in shaping the university's administrative landscape. In 2021, she was appointed as the executive director. This remarkable achievement is a testament to her unwavering commitment, exceptional leadership, and invaluable contributions to CWRU.
