Thomson Doherty is a senior licensing manager for the Case Western Reserve University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) in the life sciences. He has worked in biotech at the laboratory bench. He later worked within operations and research and development (R&D), with an emphasis on:
- Business development,
- Licensing,
- Intellectual property management,
- Industry-university partnerships,
- Sponsored research,
- R&D collaborations, and
- Alliances and tech transfer agreements.
He has more than 20 years of experience working in biotech, university technology transfer offices and law firms. He’s also worked with Stanford University, University of California, University of Queensland, Chalmers University of Technology, Cetus Immune, Genentech, Roche, Celgene, Applied Biosystems, Stem Cell Sciences and many others, focusing on cancer immunotherapies, cell and gene therapy, regenerative medicine and vaccines.
Thomson holds a Juris Doctor from San Francisco Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UC Davis, California.
