Guidance for the Completion of Subaward Forms
CWRU is part of the FDP Clearinghouse. When completing pre-award subrecipient commitment forms from other institutions when the proposal will contain a subaward to CWRU, carefully read the document from the other institutions; many of these forms indicate sections that you are not required to complete as we are an FDP member. Completion of these sections when not required lengthens our review and in many situations requires PASA to make changes prior to sign off.
NOA/Effort Clearance
If you have a processed Sparta record (e.g., FP or AMR), and you have not received your internal Notice of Award (NOA) within five (5) business days, please reach out to the PASA Specialist as most likely there is a outstanding effort certification that has not been completed. In this scenario, the NOA will not be released as the system has a built-in stop when effort certification has not been completed for those persons receiving funding in relation to the project.
Data and Material Use/Transfer Agreements
As a reminder, the Office of Research Administration’s PreAward Services and Agreements (PASA), DUA/MTA Team, is now responsible for the review, evaluation and execution of all transfers of data, biospecimens and materials for all of CWRU.
