Dear members of the Mandel School community,
I have heard concerns about the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on school operations. I want to assure you that the university is treating the potential threat of the virus very seriously. The safety and well-being of our students, faculty and staff are our highest priority. Health officials in the university are monitoring developments locally and nationally, and there are plans in place should events require a temporary interruption of classes and/or broader university operations. Announcements about the coronavirus can be found on the University Health and Counseling Services' COVID-19 webpage.
Students traveling internationally who are not participating in university study abroad programs are asked to provide their information to the Office of Education Abroad via this form. You can see the most recent COVID-19-related travel advisories on the CDC website.
In the meantime, we should all follow the common-sense precautions that are advised during cold and flu season. If you are ill, inform your instructor and field supervisor of your illness, and stay home.
Spring break will be here in a few days, and it will be a welcome period for all of us. I wish you a restful and healthy break.
