Hello, Mandel School Students, Faculty and Staff,
Below are instructions for accessing online resources through the Harris Library, and through the other CWRU campus libraries as well. Please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
A good place to find online resources is the Harris Library Research Guides, which lists recommended books, research databases, websites and journals for a variety of social work topics. Access the research guides.
On the upper right side of the Research Guides homepage, you will see: Search All the CWRU Libraries. This searches resources from all CWRU Libraries. Please select the Full Text checkbox to limit search results to online resources.
The Harris Library Research Guides also gives you access the Harris Library databases which focus on social work, community organizing and nonprofit management. The link to the rest of the CWRU databases is also here. Use the drop-down menus to select the topic of your choice.
If you're looking for a specific online journal or article, you can search for it on the eJournal Portal.
For a direct link to the CWRU Discovery search tool and for more information on accessing online library resources from off campus, please refer to the Kelvin Smith Library research guide.
In addition, the Library Service and Resource Continuity During Covid 19/Coronavirus Period site has more links to online resources, and important information regarding checked-out items and suspension of OhioLINK and InterLIbrary Loan requests and borrowing.
Even though the Harris Library is physically closed, the Harris librarians are still available by phone (216.368.2302), email, Zoom meetings, and Google Hangouts (chat) for reference assistance and consultation. We will provide these services during regular business hours, on IW Saturdays, and also by appointment.
We will do our best to provide support to all of you, and we look forward to working with you during this truly uncertain and challenging time.
The Harris Library Staff
