To the Case Western Reserve community:
Another vulnerability has been found in Zoom, which allows uninvited guests to scan Zoom for open meetings, even if the link to the meeting is not shared publicly. Zoom is working to address this issue, but [U]Tech strongly encourages all Zoom users to protect their meetings by using a meeting password or selecting the “Only authenticated users can join” option.
Review the Zoom Security Best Practices Guide for recommendations to protect existing and future meetings.
[U]Tech will monitor reports for an increase in "Zoombombing" incidents and may suggest additional protective measures if warranted.
