To Our Faculty and Staff:
Earlier this month we asked you to upload pictures of your vaccination cards to help inform university planning for this summer and fall.
Today we thank the more than 1,750 of you who have done so already—and we ask the rest of you to follow their example.
Go ahead—do it now.
The photo’s presence in the university’s health system means you’ll have instant access to valid proof of vaccination if you need it.
Plus, having a more accurate sense of our vaccination numbers will help in determining the most appropriate campus health protocols for the summer and fall.
As most of you know, last week federal and Ohio officials lifted mask and physical distancing requirements for fully vaccinated individuals. In both instances, however, they emphasized the risks for those who have not been vaccinated—they still need to follow prevention protocols.
If we do not have an accurate idea of how many faculty and staff are vaccinated, we will have to plan for the possibility that many of you are not.
As a result, we will have to continue many of our COVID-19 restrictions—including masks and physical distancing—for everyone.
With the intensity of end-of-semester activities, it’s likely that plenty more of you are vaccinated—you just haven’t gotten around to uploading the photograph to myhealthconnect.case.edu.
Help us make this summer a time when staying safe doesn’t require staying so far apart—and masks are a thing of the past.
