Event Description
This lecture discusses legal issues surrounding digital assets and emerging technologies, including their roles in protecting the nation’s cybersecurity. The conversation surveys the work of the White House’s Office of the National Cyber Director with implementing the National Cybersecurity Strategy, as well as the interagency successes of the US Department of Justice and other governmental entities.
Speaker Bio
Sanjeev Bhasker serves as Deputy General Counsel with the Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD), the White House. ONCD is a component of the Executive Office of the President and advises the President of the United States on cybersecurity policy and strategy. He is detailed from the U.S. Department of Justice where he previously served as U.S. Digital Currency Counsel, a subject matter expert on digital asset and emerging technology investigations, as well as an Assistant U.S. Attorney. Bhasker is a former Cuyahoga County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and Case Law graduate (Class of 2005). He is appearing in his personal capacity.
