Stacey Bergstrom joined the faculty in 2025 and currently teaches the first-year Legal Writing, Leadership, Experiential Learning, Advocacy and Professionalism (LLEAP) courses, Criminal Law, and Pretrial Criminal Practice. Previously, Stacey taught Legal Writing and Criminal Justice Drafting at the University of Alabama School of Law.
Prior to entering academia, Stacey was a state and federal prosecutor, serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida and the Eastern District of Virginia, as well as an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia and Investigative Counsel for the New York State Offices of the Inspector General. She also taught Legal Research and Writing as an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Law School.
Stacey also currently serves as a Training Chair for the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), where she develops and conducts training programs for practicing attorneys focusing on computer forensics and digital criminal investigations.
