As a multi-disciplinary researcher, Dr. Barnholtz Sloan’s role in team science has been essential for multiple, successful multi-disciplinary research projects. She has extensive experience with multi-site, brain tumor, patient recruitment and bio specimen collection, storage, and clinical annotation. In addition, she is an expert in hypothesis development, study design and statistical analysis of various phenotypes in humans and animals and analysis of all types of data for clinical outcomes modeling. In her leadership roles within Case CCC, UH and CWRU SOM, she assists investigators with access to “big data” for clinical outcomes modeling, including individualized patient predictions which can drive operational and clinical decision making.
