Fred Gray Awarded the 2023 ABA Medal
July 05, 2023The American Bar Association will award the 2023 ABA Medal, the association’s highest honor, to Fred D. Gray (LAW ‘54), described by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. as “the chief counsel” of the civil rights movement. Gray will accept the award at the ABA’s Annual Meeting in August.

As a 1L at Case Western Reserve University, Ethan Isaacson (LAW, 2021) identified a gap in the tools available to legal professionals. While working on the Journal of International Law and participating in writing courses, Isaacson and some of his classmates struggled with Bluebook citations.
