Mental Health Awareness Fair

Fresh Check Day will be back next year, Fall 2025. We had a great time this year and hope you can join us again next year.

Fresh Check Day is a program created by the Jordan Porco Foundation. The program is meant to highlight mental health promotion and suicide prevention on college campuses. The event includes interactive booths, peer-to-peer messaging, and support from campus departments and student groups. There will be free food, music, and fun prize giveaways for participants who visit at least five booths and hand in a bingo card. The Jordan Porco Foundation states that Fresh Check Day is intended to create an approachable and hopeful atmosphere where students are encouraged to discuss mental health. The intention is to build a bridge between students and mental health resources available on campus and in the community.

Get Involved

Fresh Check Day is intended to be a collaborative event. If your student group or campus department would like to co-host a table next year, please check back in the spring for updated information on how to get involved.

We will also be looking for volunteers. If you you volunteered this year and want to join us again, or missed the opportunity to volunteer this year, and would like to sign up for next year, please stay tuned. Planning for Fresh Check Day 2025 will begin next semester.
