The Cancer Genomics and Epigenomics (CGE) Program is the hub for cancer genome and epigenome discoveries and technology developments at our cancer center. The overarching goals of CGE are to discover the genetic and epigenetic alterations that contribute to cancer, to uncover the mechanisms by which these alterations form, and to translate these discoveries toward the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer.
Program Aims
- Discover germline and somatic genetic alterations and elucidate the mechanisms by which these alterations drive tumorigenesis.
- Discover novel epigenetic or epigenomic regulators of cancers.
- Translate genetic and epigenetic discoveries for cancer diagnosis and therapy.
