Is the plague of mass school shootings in the U.S. here to stay?

Psychiatric TimesDaniel J. Flannery, the Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Professor and director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, explained why he believes Americans’ easy access to guns is a key factor in the nation’s problem with gun violence and mass shootings.

“It’s way easier to get a handgun than it is to do just about anything else in this country… our background check is woefully inadequate,” he said.
