Duties and Responsibilities of Various Staff Registered Nurse Levels

161091 Staff Registered Nurse 1 (exempt salary grade 13, working 40-hour week)

  • Work under general supervision
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients according to the assignment and to individual needs of the patient
  • Interview and evaluate patients
  • Make judgments regarding patient assessment, develop a plan of care
  • Provide comprehensive patient education when treating patients
  • Maintain accurate and complete records and documents on patients' conditions, problems, treatments, medications, etc.
  • Coordinate and assist patients with arranging referrals for specialists' appointments
  • Make recommendation for improvements
  • RN license in state of Ohio
  • Bachelor's degree and 0 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR High school and 8 years of experience

161092 Staff Registered Nurse 2 (exempt salary grade 15, working 40-hour week)

  • Perform duties of Staff Registered Nurse 1 and in addition:
  • Work under limited supervision
  • Provide direction and training to Staff Registered Nurse 1s
  • RN license in state of Ohio
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years of experience OR High school and 11 years of experience

161093 Staff Registered Nurse 3 (exempt salary grade 17, working 40-hour week)

  • Perform duties of Staff Registered Nurse 2 and in addition:
  • Work with a high degree of independence and under general direction
  • Manage the clinical activities of a health care clinic
  • Develop, maintain, evaluate and interpret operational, administrative and nursing policies, procedures and systems
  • Plan and schedule nursing coverage/ assignments
  • Responsible for all quality assurance, audits, and credentialing of clinic
  • Serve as a resource person
  • Participate in marketing and public relations activities
  • Supervise Staff Registered Nurses and other support staff
  • RN license in state of Ohio
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 9 years of experience
