Mandel School Reception

Regalia + Cords and Stoles

Academic regalia is required for all graduates attending in-person ceremonies. We encourage students to try on their regalia to ensure everything fits properly. Master’s regalia includes gown, cap, tassel and academic hood (citron color for all Mandel School degrees).

Graduates are permitted to wear cords, stoles, medals or pins conferred and provided by university offices or recognized student organizations that reflect academic honors or participation in particular university programs or activities. Graduates are permitted to embellish their caps, keeping in mind the spirit of the occasion and the parameters of good taste.

Guest Tickets

Graduates are responsible for providing guests with their tickets. Login to MarchingOrder at any time to print or email your tickets. When arriving at the venue, guests may show a printed ticket or a digital version on their mobile device. Note that tickets are unique and can only be used once. Guests arriving without a ticket may be held outside the venue until all other ticketed guests have entered.

COVID-19 Protocol

The latest CWRU COVID-19 commencement protocols and procedures can be found here. As of now, individuals attending Case Western Reserve events are expected to be fully vaccinated, including boostered, if eligible. Masks are not required, but we respect the choices of those who elect to wear them. Please note that masks are required when utilizing campus transportation, including Safe Ride and shuttle services. University leaders continue to monitor pandemic developments and will adjust health protocols as circumstances warrant.

Take the Graduate Exit Survey

Are you a graduate with job news to share or ideas on how to improve the Mandel School experience for future students? We want to hear from you! Take the Graduate Exit Survey and make your voice heard. Feedback from students in recent years has led to the following changes and offerings:

  • Revised academic advising process
  • School-sponsored Licensure Exam Prep course
  • Financial seminars (e.g., how to reduce student loan debt)
  • Increased support for writing assistance and tutoring

An invite to the survey was also sent to your CWRU email. Contact Karen Ishler or Zoë Breen Wood in the Office of Educational Outcome Assessment with any questions.
