WKYC: Daniel J. Flannery, the Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Professor and director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, and Edward Barksdale, the Robert J. Izant, Jr. Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics, discussed a new study showing that, in 2020, guns surpassed car accidents for the leading cause of child death. "For me, this was not a surprise; we saw this crossover point in Cleveland eight to 10 years ago," Barksdale said.
