WKYC: Dana Prince, assistant professor at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, discussed the murder of a 4-year-old boy who died in the custody of his aunt and uncle, and the challenges facing the foster care system during the pandemic.
“It's really heartbreaking, it's gut wrenching, it's traumatic for everyone involved,” Prince said. “We've seen an increase in family-based violence and we've seen an increase in child abuse during this time.”
