Part of finding a great job is attending networking events, mixers and cocktail hours where you can make contacts and meet new people. Employers want to know their employees can be professional in social situations, but networking events can sometimes be difficult to navigate. Learning Western expectations of politeness can help you feel more comfortable in unfamiliar situations, and mastering networking customs can help you make a great impression on others.
Attendees will receive hands-on training from etiquette consultant Catherine Holloway and will sample hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks to provide an opportunity to practice the skills learned during the training.
This event will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26, 6-8 p.m., in the Tomlinson Hall lobby. Attendees should wear professional business attire.
